Capsules
| At Chakra 4 we've developed a very wide variety of herbal capsules. The term single capsules refers to capsules that only contain one single herb.
Formula capsules contain a special combination of herbs for specific purposes created by our herbalist, Kita Centella.
Our herbal capsules are made with organic or wildcrafted herbs, and contain no fillers, binders, or anti-caking agents like commercially produced herbal capsules. Just pure herbs of the highest quality available, encapsulated in 100% vegetable cellulose, rather than animal-derived gelatin.
We also carry an extensive line of freeze-dried capsules, made by Eclectic Institute. They use organically grown or wildcrafted plants that are immediately flash frozen and freeze-dried. This process captures all the bioactive constituents of the fresh plant; the quality of these capsules is incredible.
The formulas we have available in capsule form include most of the formulas we offer that are in tea or tincture form.
Capsules are a great way to take a remedy that requires several doses
throughout the day if you don't have the time to keep making tea and
want to avoid tinctures.
The
other benefit of taking capsules is that some herbs, as much as we love
them, don't taste very good and it would be very unpleasant to drink
them as a tea or take them in tincture form.
Capsules on the other hand, are well tolerated by most people and you don't need to taste anything.
But,
keep in mind that capsules usually take about 30 minutes to take
effect. So if you need a remedy that provides immediate relief, a
tincture may be a better option as it is much more quickly absorbed when
held under the tongue.
